Welcome to our Art Club Painting Unit! Especially designed for children aged 5 to 11 years, this vibrant and engaging unit is all about unleashing creativity, having fun with colour, and exploring the world through painting. We believe every child is an artist, and our mission is to nurture their unique talents in a supportive and joyful environment.

What to Expect

·       Inspirational Start-points: The unit begins by looking at the works of renowned artists from around the world. Children are encouraged to observe, discuss, and find inspiration in the styles, colours, and techniques that have shaped art history.

·       Skill Development: Our lessons focus on the essential building blocks of painting, including colour mixing and brush techniques. Children will experiment with primary, secondary, and tertiary colours, learn how to create their own palettes, and discover the magic of blending paints to achieve various shades and textures.

·       Creative Exploration: Once children feel confident with their new skills, they are guided to create their own masterpieces. Working in a variety of different scales, the emphasis is on self-expression, exploration, and having fun with the process—there are no mistakes in art, only opportunities to learn and grow.

How It Works

The subscription provides access to a series of themed painting lessons, delivered weekly. All materials and instructions are provided—children only need their enthusiasm and imagination! Each unit will come with a sketchbook which we will work in every week so that all of our ideas, technique practise and paintings are stored safely each week. At the end of every session we have a Gallery Exhibition where we welcome parents and carers in to share what we have created! At the end of the unit, the sketchbooks can be taken home to cherish for ever.
