This work was created as part of a neon pink experimental series of work, based on a photo taken at Southbourne beach at sunset. Painted entirely with my fingers, it is an emotional response to the colour and beauty of the natural world. It is a gentle reminder to spend time doing the things that inspire you.
Playful spray-painted patterns and flowing ink dribbles are layered into the landscape, exaggerating and celebrating the vivid colours found in the natural world. The combination of expressive finger painting, unexpected colour and energetic pattern moves beyond realistic representation, capturing instead the feeling, energy and joy of experiencing a special moment.
