Take an hour each month to slow down, switch off and simply play with paint.
This is a brand new session, led by artist and hand-painter Shelley Perry. Art for Wellness is a relaxed, sensory art session for adults, exploring the joy of colour and the simple pleasure of making marks with acrylic paint, using only your hands (no brushes). Experiment with beautiful colours, enjoy seeing them sit side by side, and discover the freedom of letting go and trusting the process.
This is all about the experience, not the end result. Whatever you create is a by-product of the time spent playing, exploring and enjoying the moment. Working on paper, with different colour mixing and application tasks, there is no right or wrong, no need to be an artist, and nothing to prove. Each month we will explore different colour based activities in acrylic, on paper (bring a sketchbook to work from if you prefer)
I bring everything. You just bring yourself, however you are.
When: First session Tuesday 8th December 10:00 - 11:00am (monthly)
Where: The Art Shed, Hengistbury Head Outdoors
Materials: Acrylic paint on paper – all materials provided
Cost: £20 per session
Booking: Essential – places are limited (10max)
